larryHappy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. The demands of being a mother are quite draining. Juggling busy family schedules, working, and keeping the family on track every day of the week and every week of the year is not easy. Mom’s can’t afford the time it takes to recover when they are sick. Mom’s can’t afford the time to recover from injuries. Mom’s can’t afford any time for themselves. Basically without mom, we don’t have anybody steering the rudder of the family. Times have changed. Mom’s are the strong members of the family. They keep us on track. In order to do this, mom has to be healthy every day. If there is one gift we can all give our mothers or wives, it is the time it takes to take care 0f themselves. A healthy mom pays great dividends on all ends. It doesn’t cost anything. Make the effort to allow mom the time she needs to take care of herself.

Taking care of ourselves and living more healthy and productive lifestyles is one of the goals we pursue every day at Kinetic Connections. We hope everybody we work with achieves these goals. If you haven’t already done so, please take a look at our website and see if there is a program we offer that may fit into your health goals. We would love to help you either improve your lifestyle or improve your athletic abilities. One of our clients suggested we offer gift certificates to our workout groups. These can be arranged. We are now able to take payments on PayPal under services@kcconditioning.com. When paying us, select the category that suits your payment best or write a memo in the memo column. More specific instructions on paying by PayPal will be available in a specific column devoted to use of our PayPal account. Please check back on 5/11/10.

Our camps for the summer are now posted on oue website and we are currently taking registrations and payment for the summer. If you cannot make all the dates for the Speed Power and Agility ( S.P.A.) camp at Grass Lake School, list the dates you will miss and deduct $10 for each date you will miss. We will not reimburse for absences that were not arranged for in advance. If you have further questions about the camps either e-mail us at info@kcconditioning.com or call Steve or Larry @ 847-395-6100.

Last of all, the update for week 16 of Project Perfection 2010 will be delayed for a couple days. Carley was able to attend a Figure Competition in Peoria, IL. as an observer over the weekend. We are awaiting her impressions. She has also received her program for Phase III of Project Perfection. Please check the website later in the week for Week 16.

Have a good week!

larryIt was nice to get a taste of Spring this past week. Unfortunately, the snow reminded us good things don’t last forever. Kind of a lesson in life. Enjoy things while they are good because change is the only thing that is constant. Just like the weather there is good and bad. We will have both. Some people don’t deal with the bad very well. Those are the people that seem to struggle more than others. They have a tendency to fall into a pattern of chasing what they had rather than what is to come. Just like working out, people fall into a pattern and keep trying to do the same thing because it worked at one time. That isn’t a realistic way to approach things in the workout world. Our bodies change with our workouts and age. Changing your routine and trying new things benefits you in your workouts in so many ways. But, like the weather, some workouts are good and some are bad. You don’t know until you have tried. Keep on trying. if you feel you need a change in your routine to help you move forward, contact us.

Enough on motivation and weather. Another great week came and went in the world of kinetic connections. Both of our bodybuilders are moving along according to plan. We continue to work with children, high school, and young adult athletes on the weekend. The parents have been participating on Saturdays. Our greatest increase in trainees has been athletes between 9 and 11. We continue to work on plans for football combine style training, court training, and possibly soccer training sessions. There has been a call for more sport specific training.

Last of all, people have asked if they can pay with credit card. We now have a PayPal account. You cannot navigate to PayPal from our site. In order to pay us through PayPal you have to go to PayPal and pay to kinetic Connections. To make payment, pay to: services@kcconditioning.com. Keep your receipt and show it to us at times of service. If you have any questions, please call us.
