Hello Kinetic Connections fans. This winter is getting too long. It’s good to see track , softball, volleyball, women’s soccer, and baseball are starting. That’s a true sign spring and summer are coming. The winter has been productive and our spring and summer athletes are starting to really gel. The athletes who have been coming all winter are really starting to show their colors. Today, at our Grass Lake School workout, we had some new athletes attend our session. A couple of our new athletes were standouts in their sports. Even though they were talented in their sports, they experienced a lot of difficulty going through our basic drills. It was great to see the people we have been working with, go through warmups with ease, and those we haven’t seen struggle.Keep working. It gets easier. Our goal is to make all of our athletes comfortable and fluent in their bodies. Our other goal is to build healthy workout routines and habits our athletes can take with them for the rest of their lives. What are we saying? We work with our athletes to make them function at the highest and healthiest level they possibly can, so no matter what physical activity they perform, their bodies will rise to the challenge without failing them. We want our athletes to be able to do physically whatever their coach or sport demands of them without thinking. What we do is not easy, but what we do is for winners. Thank you to every athlete who attends our sessions. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. While your friends and the competition are sleeping, you are preparing yourselves for the future. Good habits breed good results.
We would like to thank all the athletes who come to our sessions. The reward we get for being there for you is seeing you flourish in your endeavors. Year after year we get to see the benefits of our work. The scholarships, the achievements on the field, the joy in achieving things you never dreamed of, are why we go the extra mile for you. If you have any success stories, we would love to publish them. Send your success story to info@kcconditiong.com. We’d be glad to place it on our website. Last of all, we will be adding two video samplings to our website to let the curious know what goes on at our training sessions. Stay tuned.
Have a good week. The staff at Kinetic Connections.
Greetings all. Hope everybody had a good week. We are starting to hear the results from some of the girls who have been training for the upcoming season. So far the hitting and pitching has been crisp. One girl hit a home run her first at bat in a tournament two weeks ago. Others have reported they are throwing harder and more accurately. We can’t wait to see how the spring softball season goes. If you ordered any Kinetic Connections clothing, it is being printed now. It should be ready for distribution next weekend. Not much else going on. High school track, softball, and baseball all start within the next week or so. Good luck on your seasons. All of your hard work will pay off.
Have a good week!
Happy Valentines to everybody in advance. It was a busy week for us at Kinetic Connections. We had the pleasure of participating in the Lake Forest Police Department’s Baseball Camp for the Lake Bluff Baseball program at Halas Hall in Lake Forest. It was nice to be thinking baseball and summer with the way this winter has gone. We had the opportunity to work with over two hundred ball players. It’s nice to see the excitement in the faces of all of these young athlete’s faces. If only we could all feel this exctement everyday.
Unfortunately, I had to attend the wake of the father of a client and friend of mine last week. These are always hard to attend. But, there is always something positive to take away from something like this. After our workout last week, this client said it was quite a wake up call to see himself in the pictures they put together for the collage they were making for the wake. He realized how much weight he had put on over the years and how different he looked now. It was quite sobering, given he has three beutiful young daughter’s ages 16-20. Sometimes a death makes us realize how short life is and how little value we place on it. Taking care of yourself will prolong your life and make the precious few days we have on this earth more pleasurable and worthwhile. Look at yourself now and where you were when you were younger. Are you able to do what you wanted when you were younger? Or, are you past your prime? Take control of your life. Start with your health. That’s something you can control. You’d be surprised how much easier it is to do what you want when you have your health. We’re there for you.
