We have not been reporting Carlie’s progress on a consistent basis because she has been doing her workouts without any problems. Carlie has evolved throughout this process from a novice to a well trained athlete. She has gone from dreading her workouts to looking forward to them. She did not like to run, now she loves to run. Besides transforming her body into a lean well trained body, Carlie has a new outlook on things. She has been more positive since starting this project. We are getting close to tapering time. The focus during tapering will be on a strict diet and continuing to exercise with a goal of trimming off all excess. We will keep you posted when it is time.

Weekend workouts have resumed at Grass Lake School on Saturday and Sunday mornings, 7:30-8:30 a.m. It is good to see some new faces and some returning athletes. As trainers, we always love to hear the successes of our clients. This week we would like to profile Stephanie “Midge” Parks. Stephanie attends Badger High School in Lake Geneva. As a sophomore she played Varsity Softball. She pitched, played the field as a utility player, and batted for herself. “Midge” received All Conference Honorable Mention and Offensive Player of The Year. Congratulations to Stephanie for her achievements on the field. We are happy to say, for the past year, Stephanie has been a regular on Sunday mornings at our weekend workouts. Her parents, Kevin and Debbie, say they have noticed the improvement in Stephanie’s abilities since starting her workouts with us. Their commitment to get Stephanie there, and her commitment to working hard have been the keys to her success. To everybody who wants their children to improve as athletes, take note, Stephanie’s story is a story we hear over and over at Kinetic Connections. We thank all of our athletes for their hard work, their success stories are what makes what we do enjoyable.

Have a good week!

This weekend marks the start of the NFL season. Preseason is over and everybody is starting with the same record, 0-0. It’s interesting to hear the coaches and players remarks regarding the preseason, regardless of how they played, all of their comments were positive. I think this is what defines the mentality and attitude of the elite, the true professional, PMA (Positive Mental Attitude). The happiest people, the best performers, the most fit, all seem to have this one common characteristic, PMA. If you look around, listen, see things, you can’t help but to notice how much negativity there is out there. How much blame and finger pointing there is out there. How many times do you hear “I can’t”? The attitude of “I can” verse “I can’t” is the difference between winners and losers. Put more “I cans” into your life, pass it along, encourage others to be positive, and see how much better you and others feel. This little change in attitude can make a big difference in your life. Check it out. Be positive. Have a good week.
